    I king of wonder if the palette analysis takes skin into consideration too much. Someone can have cool toned hair and skin that’s warm/neutral. I can tell hair is disregarded especially when I read about advice telling people to dye their hair based on skin, which means the analysis doesn’t consider the whole person as they are naturally. Also, people may not be good judges of whether the clothes they wear are cool/neutral/cool. Pale pinks can be cool, neutral, or warm. So can many other colors. The color choices are limitless in real life, while the color swatches may be very divisive.

    The biggest challenge is to make it sexy not to earn too much money! If you go above 100k anual gross earnings for a family (in Euros) you get into serious trouble, as it becomes impossible to deal with the money coming in every month. It wants to be spend, and spending it well becomes tough as balls: you see every one above doing things like living in twice the house they need, buying new Teslas, doing an anual Asia trips with the kids even though Paris is the best city in the world you can go on a 6 hour bus trip for 25 bucks. If you proudly say you only earn 100k and thats a choice, people look weird upon you. But it means me and my husband work 5 days in total , so there is plenty of time to invest in other things, like learning new stuff, and there is so much quality locations for holidays even within bicycle distance, it is amazing. An off-season cycle trip to a Belgian city with some stop overs in the green in between delivers an absolutely top class holiday.

    Q for Quinn scores minus points for no proper contact info (address, phone number, mail address). No idea where they are seated, but I bet US based. Models for photographs look inclusive. Price is pretty steep considering it is made in India. Single brief to Europe is 46€. And they have side-seams. For EU customers, I suggest looking at Comazo/Living Crafts, both are seated in Germany, with production in eastern Europe, they use in-house staff for modelling, both GOTS certfied as well, and a brief is usually like 15€, a boxer a bit more, and the woolen variants are about the double price. I get all my undies from them, no side seams, well made.

    I like lighter colors on you! When you put on dark colors, my eyes are drawn to the clothes and not you. It overwhelms you. You pop when you wear the light spring colors and I pay attention to your features, not the clothes. Also, it's not that those colors look bad or terrible on you but rather, spring colors will make you look even better. Why look ok when you can look better?

    I hate the colors I'd be "assigned" (I'm supposedly an autumn) and instead I mostly wear colors I love: pink, baby blue, violet, soft yellow, vivid green, black and white. Those colors make me happy and I guess this show because people often compliment my outfits :D

    I completely agree with you😉. Here's some interesting food for thought- I'm a redhead and have had color analysis done 3 times. Every time I was told I am a different season. So then I thought maybe it's just that I'm weird. But one of my oldest friends is a ginger. She's had the analysis twice and both times she was told a different season. This in itself to me is proof of how subjective color analysis is. In other words, it's nothing but opinion. Which brings me neatly to my next point. If is costs more than free, it's a scam, period. I have heard of color analysis costing as much as 200$. Yes! That's one hell of an expensive opinion. Definitely a scam! It's really elementry. Of course everyone has colors they look great in and colors they look awful in. And just as you say, it's quite obvious to everyone. Finally, it really does matter what colors you like. If you feel good chances are you're going to look good.

    Hello there , I stumbled upon your video and I'm glad I did. The video is very beautiful and your garden is even more beautiful. I envy you your garden (in a positive sense, of course). I am new to Canada, Alberta and know next to nothing about gardening and local plants. Can you tell me which moss grows best in Alberta and where I could get it. I also want to get rid of the annoying grass on the lawn. Thank you in advance .

      Hi! They Alberta Native Plant Council (anpc.ab.ca/) has some great resources. And Edmonton and Calgary both have native plant societies/associations with resources and they sometimes do plant sales and workshops - there might be others around the province as well depending where you live. :)

    does it affect your view of their sustainability that the apple leather is mixed with polyester and then coated with PU?

    • @MyGreenCloset
      @MyGreenCloset 8 днів тому

      No because unfortunately almost every vegan leather option incorporates synthetics and PU (but some are better than others). However with purses/bags I think the best thing I can do sustainability-wise is choose a style and high-quality product that will last years. While you can weigh the pros and cons of each material, ultimately buying 1 purse instead of 5 is going to be more sustainable overall, so longevity is my top priority.

    • @grreeeeee
      @grreeeeee 8 днів тому

      @@MyGreenCloset Doesn't it make more sense to buy a secondhand leather instead of something with PU/polyester? Those inevitably break down within 10 years. Genuinely curious

    • @MyGreenCloset
      @MyGreenCloset 7 днів тому

      For sure if you can find a good bag secondhand that's great! Leather isn't always good quality though, a lot of it is PU coated as well so you're not always avoiding plastic by choosing leather vs vegan leather, and you have to find one that was well taken care of. I also had very specific requirements for the bag's style and space. I always try to shop secondhand first but didn't find anything that was the style, size, colour, and quality I was looking for.

    The veins and tanning have nothing to do with finding your season. I think you could totally be a spring type. The darker green isn't better; it just stands out more against your skin because of how dark it is and how light you are overall. Colour season is about harmony; the colour shouldn't arrive before you, it should accompany you.

    • @MyGreenCloset
      @MyGreenCloset 8 днів тому

      That's part of my point though, harmony doesn't always mean better. Contrasting elements can look great too, and why is it bad for clothes to stand out or be noticed first?

    My mom was born in 1938. She said they lived in the country and had wash boards to wash and wringers. She always talked about how unsafe the wringers were and she loved going to the city where they had safer drying methods lol. I think most women had more underwear, because she said they used to only do laundry 1 or 2 times a week because it would take literally all day. And they hung the clothes to dry. It seems like most women collected as many undergarments as they could, she talked about her mother always saving up to buy different bras, stockings, girdles and slips and would get onto me for not having enough or proper undergarments lol. This was probably like a bare minimum to get by if you had no money or were moving away and couldn’t take more than you could carry.

    • @MyGreenCloset

      It's a knit garment, so ironing stretches it out and will distort the pattern. As I explained with a knit you have to gently flatten it but you don't want to stretch it.

    I am placing my bet on you actually being a dark winter despite blonde hair. O.o I think the idea of sticking to a season makes people be more oganised about what they buy and how to match clothes. In the end you just make two choises: do you like high or low contrast? Do you like warm or cold undertones? Even if you chose warm palette with cold skin - the fact that your clothes go well together will already make you look more stylish.

    I think you look good in all colors, especially 3,5, and 6 but you didn't smile in 2 and 4 and also didn't have sleeves but I think you will look good in 2 if it was longer sleeves. I am frustrated by color analysis and I am not going to follow strictly. I will stick to whatever I like except may be for white and black, I have to keep them little away from my face.

    I know child labor is horrible but keep in mind it may be what is keeping them and their families alive. If you cancel them will they survive? Or are you cutting off their only way of making money? Don’t you think those kids would be working in awful conditions if there was ANY other choice?

    • @MyGreenCloset
      @MyGreenCloset Місяць тому

      The solution? Make sure parents/guardians are paid a living wage so children don't have to work - support companies that ethically source their mica and pay fair wages. Pressure companies that don't to improve their standards and wages and pressure for systemic and policy change. You definitely don't help improve things and are not helping children by buying products made with child labor. All you are doing by supporting child labor is giving your money to the brands that exploit children.

    A decade and a half ago, I bought an antique tool (there are repos, now) colloquially called a "pouncing wheel." (I was introduced to the tool by the set designer of the Late Nite Show w/David Letterman, two decades ago). Much faster perforation, And keeps your patterns intact. Additionally, you can use rock climber/ballet/weight-lifter rosen, Or powdered graphite (woodless pencil shaving shards), industrial printer powdered ink leftovers), or just a marker or chalk line through the holes. I love the pouncing wheel... and cats ! The labeling suggestion is much needed ! Thank u for the reminder and the minor tailoring advices. Immensely helpful for this novice. ... Really cute! Random question, but how do you decide what size to get for a dress cut like that? I find it really hard to get a relaxed woven fabric like that to be the perfect cut without an awkward fit. Do you go from shoulder measurements? Bust measurements?

    • @MyGreenCloset
      @MyGreenCloset Місяць тому

      Because it's loose at the waist and hips I use the bust measurement. It's designed to be loose everywhere (and that's what I wanted) so I stuck with my recommended size based on their size chart. Since this dress doesn't have darts I wouldn't size down as there's no bust shaping. Ultimately though it depends on what type of fit you're looking for, what part of the design is most fitted (and how that relates to your body eg. if the skirt is very loose/flared it doesn't really matter if you hip size is larger), and also what parts you find fit awkward. So unfortunately there's no easy advice because our bodies are all so different.
